Mother's day starts Fawn season which lasts all Summer. Late June the fawn sightings reduce.
I like to go fawn watching in late May-early June.
As you can see, they are well camouflaged.

Cold natural spring in Tom Creek
After heavy rains we canoe up Tom Creek and Play on the shoot.
The Doe leaves them for 8 hours or more after birth and they do not move unless they are confronted by a dog or animal of pray.
We have pet them and they just lay still. It is important not to frighten them to the point they flee.
During the drought the creek was quite dry with exception of this spring. We kayak up the creek from the Westhaven cove on Tom Creek.
True Rarity! I found this Mussel near the lake shore in extreme drought. It measures 5 inches in length and is believed to be as old as the lake.
Again a true rarity! These Ice ribbons form at the root of Frostweed under just the right circumstances.
